Returns and refunds
You have 7 days from delivery to raise a return with Clay And Bloom. With pool goods the practical rule is: inflate it, switch it on, look at it — all on the day it arrives, before it goes anywhere near chlorinated water.

Requests must reach us within 7 days of the delivery record.
What we can accept back
- Unused and dry, never in the pool, with valve caps, straps, patches and fixings present.
- Inflatables deflated and folded, in the original packaging.
- The invoice from the parcel, or a photograph of it.
Inflating an item briefly at home to check it does not count as use — that is exactly what we ask you to do. Putting it in the water does.
What we cannot take back
Anything used in a pool: chlorinated water leaves residue and dulls print, and we will not resell it to somebody else. Also items with a patched or repaired seam, solar units mounted with adhesive or drilled fixings, clearance stock and gift cards. None of this affects your rights if the goods were faulty or wrongly supplied.
Leaking, cracked, dead or wrong on arrival
Record an unboxing video, then inflate or switch on. If a seam hisses, a valve will not seal, a solar panel is cracked, an LED does not light after a day in the sun, a fountain nozzle is missing or the wrong item arrived, email us that clip within 48 hours of delivery. On that evidence we replace or refund immediately at our cost.
Solar performance
Solar lights and fountains run on the light they get. A unit under a tree, on a north-facing rail, or through a monsoon week will run for a shorter time each evening than one in full sun — that is the technology, not a defect. Give any solar unit a full day of direct sun before judging it, and check the pull-tab or insulating strip has been removed from the battery, which is by far the commonest cause of a “dead” light.
Inflatables and pressure
Over-inflation is what splits seams. Fill until the item holds its shape and the surface still gives under a thumb, and let air out on a very hot afternoon — air expands in the sun. A seam split by over-inflation is user damage; a seam that hisses from the first fill is a fault, and we treat it as one.
How refunds are paid
Once the item is back and checked, approved refunds are processed within 12 business days — longer than a small-parcel shop because bulky goods travel back on a freight service and have to be received and inspected. UPI payments return to the same handle; Cash on Delivery orders are refunded by direct bank transfer once you share the account details.
Who pays the return freight
We do where the fault is ours — leaking, cracked, defective, incorrect or short. On a change of mind you arrange and pay the return to the address we give you, and we refund the price of the goods once they arrive back unused and dry.
Exchanges
A different size or colourway can be swapped while the item is unused. Say so in the first email and we settle any difference either way.
Starting a return
Email shop@clayandbloom.shop with the order number and one line on the problem, plus the video for a leak or damage claim. A person replies, usually within one working day, with the collection arrangement. Please wait for that reply before sending anything back.
